Matching the Right Seal to Your SV Pump Size

Lowara SV pumps don’t all use the same seal. The 1, 3 and 5 SV sizes run a 12 mm shaft, the 10, 15 and 22 SV sizes a 16 mm shaft, and the larger 33 to 125 SV pumps a 22 mm shaft. Ordering the wrong diameter is the most common reason a replacement seal arrives and can’t be used, so we confirm the pump model and shaft size before dispatch. The seal is a balanced design built to the EN 12756 and ISO 3069 standards the pump itself follows. That means it fits the existing seal chamber without modification and holds up under the pressure a multistage pump generates. Carbon-on-Silicon-Carbide faces suit clean water, booster and general duty. Silicon Carbide-on-Tungsten Carbide suits harder service.
