PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
A Reliable Multi-Spring Equivalent for Larger Shaft Sizes
Fitting the M74 equivalent seal follows the same process as its single-spring sibling, the M7N — the rotating assembly slides onto the shaft, the spring set is compressed evenly to its marked working length, and the stationary seat is aligned squarely in the gland before final checks, with no modifications needed to the existing pump chamber. The difference shows up on larger shafts: a single coil spring struggles to apply even closing force once shaft diameter climbs past 100 mm, which is exactly where this multi-spring variant of the M7 platform takes over, distributing load evenly around the seal face. It carries the same self-cleaning behavior and low solids tolerance as the rest of the M7 family, making it a dependable stock item for plants running larger process, chemical, or pulp and paper pumps.
